Barbara Geller, MD, is a Professor of Psychiatry at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and is an internationally recognized researcher for her groundbreaking work on prepubertal and early adolescent bipolar disorders. She is Principal Investigator on multiple National Institute of Mental Health-funded grant awards and has published over 100 articles on childhood manic-depression. Dr. Geller has served on numerous federal advisory committees and editorial boards. She is a recipient of, among other awards, the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Nathan Cummings Special Research Award and the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill Exemplary Psychiatrist Award. Melissa P. DelBello, MD, is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Pediatrics and Codirector of the Division of Bipolar Disorders Research at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Dr. DelBello's primary research interests include the neurodevelopment and neuropsychopharmacology of pediatric bipolar disorder.
