The 6th edition of this text features 43 new authors, 8 new chapters, and revision of the 66 remaining chapters, particularly with regard to those topics related to genetics. The new chapter topics include dynamics of cancer prevention, screening and detection of asymptomatic patients, hematopoietic therapy, complementary and alternative medicine, cancer-related distress, palliative care, delivery of comfort care, evidence-based nursing practice, and legal issues. Also, the section on cancer survivorship has been expanded. Co-editors are Margaret Hansen Frogge (Riverside Health Care, Rush University) and Michelle Goodman (Rush University Medical Center).
