Basing this work on her doctoral dissertation research interviewing women with children with attention deficit disorder and her own experience parenting such a child, Malacrida (U. of Lethbridge, Canada) views ADD in terms of such difficult issues as narrow norms of good motherhood and psychiatric normality, women's medication and schooling choices for their special needs children, and educational priorities.
