Wanberg (Center for Addictions Research and Evaluation) offers a provider's guide to a complete, outcomes-based program for delivering effective cognitive restructuring and social skills training to adolescent substance-abusing offenders. The guide identifies psychological, biological, cultural, and economic factors that contribute to teenage problem behavior, then describes causal models for problem behaviors and reviews widely used treatment protocols. The 32-session curriculum provided employs a cognitive-behavioral orientation.
