The editors (all affiliated with the U. of California) bring together contributions from researchers and practitioners in the fields of substance abuse treatment in order to bridge the gap between the two communities. The first two sections, containing nine chapters explore the dissemination of knowledge from research to practice and vice versa. Six chapters discuss more explicitly collaborative practices. The final two contributions make recommendations on encouraging more dissemination of knowledge and collaboration. Annotation (c)2003 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR
