With this book, Dr. Ted Croll makes available to all dentists an important innovation in conservative esthetic dentistry: enamel microabrasion. After many years of research, Dr. Croll discovered that certain types of tooth discoloration were confined to the outermost layer of enamel and could be removed in order to improve tooth color and appearance. Using the enamel microabrasion technique outlined in this book, a microscopic layer of enamel is simultaneously eroded and abraded with a special compound, leaving behind a perfectly intact enamel surface and improved tooth color. In addition, much evidence shows that enamel surface quality improves as time passes after treatment.
