John R. Z. Abela, PhD, is Associate Professor and William Dawson Scholar in the Departments of Psychology and Psychiatry at McGill University and Director of the Cognitive Behavior Therapy Clinic at Montreal Children's Hospital. A clinical psychologist, Dr. Abela is a two-time recipient of the Young Investigator Award from the National Alliance for Research on Schizophrenia and Depression, among many other awards. His research on cognitive and interpersonal vulnerability to depression in children, adolescents, and adults has also been funded by the National Institute of Mental Health, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the Canada Foundation for Innovation, the Social Sciences and Research Council of Canada, and the Canadian Psychiatric Research Foundation.  Benjamin L. Hankin, PhD, is Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of South Carolina. Dr. Hankin is a developmental psychopathologist interested in vulnerability and stress models to depression. His research on depression has been funded by the National Institute of Mental Health, the National Science Foundation, the National Cancer Institute, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. He has served on the editorial boards of several journals, including Journal of Abnormal Psychology, Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, Journal of Abnormal Child Psychology, and Journal of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology, and has received awards from the Society for Research in Psychopathology and the Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies.
