This resource helps home health care providers to assess the infection control needs of their organizations and develop and implement effective programs. Early chapters explain the infectious disease process and describe basic practices such as hand hygiene and wound care. Other topics include (for example) infection control in home infusion therapy; preventing allergic reactions to latex in the workplace; and the epidemiology of multidrug-resistant organisms.
