Integrating the scientific literature, clinical trials, and clinical experiences, this manual is designed to enhance the dentist's ability to help patients with temporomandibular disorder (TMD). For ease of synthesis, only clinically relevant aspects for the vast majority of TMDs are covered. The manual is organized in sections on evaluation, common acute TMD conditions and treatments, occlusal appliance therapy, multidisciplinary treatment, and case scenarios. Frequently asked questions, technical tips, and quick consults make the book easy to use. Patient questionnaires and handouts are included. Wright is a research fellow for the South Texas Veterans Health Care System, and an associate clinical professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center*San Antonio (UTHSCSA).
