Each of the authors has an interest and experience in family therapy and each has expressed his or her particular contribution in a more personal style than might be expected. This approach leads to interesting reading and to the stimulation of the reader's own thoughts about the use of self in therapy. It should also be noted that although all of the authors deal with family therapy, they also express their ideas in ways that can be utilized by a wider audience.
